Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how trend-sights (“we”, “us”) handles information in the MyCastle iOS app (“MyCastle”, “the App”).

The short version

  • MyCastle is built for exploration, not for collecting personal details.
  • We do not ask you to create a social profile, we do not offer user-to-user messaging, and users do not exchange data with each other.
  • We do not sell personal data.
  • We may process a non-personal identifier (like a device/app instance ID) for analytics, attribution, and push notifications.

Information we do (and do not) collect

MyCastle does not require you to provide your name, address, or other direct personal identifiers to use the core features. The App is designed so that the story stays in the foreground and your identity stays out of it.

We may collect or receive certain technical information that helps the App function reliably and helps us understand whether updates are working as intended:

  • App/device identifiers (non-personal): an app instance identifier, device identifier, or similar token used for attribution, analytics, and push delivery.
  • Basic diagnostics: crash reports and performance signals (for example, to fix a bug affecting a specific iOS version).
  • Approximate usage events: e.g. which screens are opened, which buttons are tapped, and whether a feature is used (in aggregated or pseudonymous form).

AI-generated answers

MyCastle may offer AI-generated responses to your questions about castles (architecture, myths, historical context). We do not build a user-to-user network and we do not request sensitive personal data for these interactions.

Please do not include sensitive information (e.g., passwords, health data, financial details) in prompts. The App is for castle discovery, and prompts work best when they stay on topic.

Third-party services

We use a small set of service providers to help operate and improve the App:

  • Singular — attribution and measurement. Singular may receive device/app identifiers and event data to measure app performance and marketing attribution.
  • OneSignal — push notifications. OneSignal typically relies on a device token/identifier to deliver notifications you enable.

These providers process data under their own terms. We configure them to collect only what we reasonably need to keep the App running, measure performance, and deliver notifications.

What we do not do

  • We do not provide user-to-user data sharing or messaging inside the App.
  • We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data.
  • We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We keep technical and analytics data only for as long as it’s needed for the purposes described above (e.g., to measure an update’s stability or to understand feature adoption), and then we delete or aggregate it.

Your choices

  • You can disable push notifications in iOS settings at any time.
  • You can limit analytics/advertising identifiers in iOS settings (availability depends on your iOS version and region).
